Welcome to Louise’s Patchwork Patch and thank you for taking the time to look around!
Louise’s Patchwork Patch was born in 2012 out of a love of sewing and constantly creating new pieces. I wanted to share my work with the world so that I could inspire others!
I had been thinking about trying to sell my pieces for a while, as I was running out of space to keep all my new creations. I have given many pieces away as presents and had great feedback from the recipients. After finishing my Masters degree towards the end of 2013, I took the next step of putting my work on display at craft fayres.
During 2 years of participating in a number of fayres, I grew in both confidence and skill and decided to participate in Cambridge Open Studios in July 2015. The exhibition was so successful and brought over 100 visitors to my studio last summer, a wonderful gift for my first Open Studio. I have decided to participate again for a second year this summer and I am thoroughly looking forward to meeting new people and explaining more about my work.
It brings me so much joy to show people my work, to gift people with my own handmade items and to know that I could be helping someone else to start sewing. Everyone needs to start somewhere!
